An ultrasound will not only confirm if you're pregnant, but also help determine how far along you are and verify if the pregnancy is inside the uterus. Once you have this information, it will help you to determine next steps.


Are there different types of abortion procedures?

Yes, there are different types of abortion procedures. Abortions are done either through a surgical procedure or a non-surgical procedure that involves taking medication. There are potential risks with both surgical and non-surgical. Depending on how far along you are determines the type of abortion procedures that are available to you. Your health is top priority when making the decision for an abortion procedure. Is the Abortion Pill the same as the Morning After Pill?

The Abortion Pill is not the same as the Morning After Pill (or Plan B). The Abortion Pill (also known as RU-486) is considered a "non-surgical" or "chemical" abortion. Are there risks associated with abortion?

As with all medical procedures, there are risks associated with an abortion. At Citrus Pregnancy Center we can provide you with evidence based information on potential physical, emotional, and psychological risks associated with abortions. Is it dangerous to have more than one abortion?

When is it too late in the pregnancy to get an abortion?

  • Is a miscarriage considered abortion?

    No. Miscarriage is a natural occurrence sometimes referred to as a spontaneous abortion. 20-25% of pregnancies end in a natural miscarriage in the first trimester. If you believe you're having a miscarriage, seek medical attention.

  • If I have an ectopic pregnancy, will I be denied medical help?

    No, ectopic pregnancy is not common, but occasionally the embryo will implant somewhere other than the uterus, This is called an ectopic pregnancy. This can be life-threatening and needs immediate medical attention. This is not considered an elective abortion.

  • Can I do a DIY abortion?

    If you're researching how to do a DIY abortion procedure at home, these techniques can be very dangerous and are often not effective. If you believe you might be pregnant, please do not panic - there are options available to you that are legal and still protect your rights as a woman. 

  • What if I took the Abortion Pill and now I changed my mind?
